Deep Mapping Project

For this project, I researched the history of Randolph quadrangle and visited it multiple times to determine various ways in which I could represent it in order to create a deep map of the area. The final form contains a 3D tour of the quadrangle, a trip along the Minneapolis, Northfield and Southern Railway, a photo tour of the area, and a story map of the ecology of Randolph.

Cultural Appropriation Feature Story

A feature piece I wrote about music as a form of cultural appropriation by specifically examining the history of the marimba and its arrival to the US from Asia to Africa and finally through Central America. This piece contains historical and sociological research along with photos and videos of the marimba, music, and cultural appropriation.

The Little Prince Edition

This is a virtual edition of the novella The Little Prince by Antoine De Saint-Exupéry. This novella has been translated into over 300 languages and therefore exists in hundreds of different editions. For this project, I researched the various versions of the novella and compared the artwork and writing between them. I also trace the history of the novella and its adaptation into films.
